FRP Carbon Wrapping of Columns

Commercial Complex 2022
FRP Carbon Wrapping of Columns

Project Overview

Fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) carbon wrapping of reinforced concrete columns to enhance axial and shear capacity. The lightweight, high-strength wrap provided seismic upgrading while preserving architectural finishes.

Scope of Work

  • Column condition survey
  • Surface preparation and rounding
  • Epoxy primer and putty application
  • Carbon FRP wrap installation
